New TCRG commentary on the UK’s smokefree generation policy

A new article from the Tobacco Control Research Group and Professor Jon Berrick highlights the potential of the UK’s tobacco-free generation policy to reshape how smoking is understood in society.

The commentary argues that the policy goes beyond simply restricting future tobacco sales. By dismantling the idea that smoking becomes acceptable at a particular age, the tobacco-free generation approach may help reinforce broader social norms against tobacco use.
