Deadly Industry podcast returns for Series 2

at

The Tobacco Control Research Group has launched a second series of Deadly Industry: Challenging Big Tobacco. Building on the success of the first series, the new series shows how the tobacco industry continues to pursue profit at the expense of public health. The launch comes ahead of WHO FCTC COP11 in November.

Though centred on the activities of Big Tobacco, the series draws connections to harmful corporate strategies in alcohol, ultra-processed food and fossil fuels that safeguard profits, fuel addiction and resist regulation.

Louis Laurence, investigative researcher and host, said:

“After the response to Series 1, we’re excited to reveal even more of Big Tobacco’s playbook in Series 2. This season, we’ll uncover how Big Tobacco exploits workers, manipulates science, and exerts its power in the world around us and why this matters far beyond tobacco.”

The eight-part series is released weekly. For further details , visit the podcast  webpage.

You can find Deadly Industry: Challenging Big Tobacco on all major podcast platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music.
