The 2025  Tobacco Industry Monitoring, Research and Accountability (TIMRA) training course will take place from the  30 June to 4 July at the University of Bath.

The course is designed to develop skills to support the implementation of tobacco control policies in line with the obligations under article 5.3 of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.  It aims to provide participants with a solid foundation to conduct their own monitoring and investigations of the tobacco industry, and to support colleagues with evidence-based knowledge to conduct tobacco control work in their own countries.

The course also provides an opportunity for participants to share the challenges they face in their own countries and the ways in which they are tackling them, as well as networking opportunities.

The training is based on the Theory of Change Model developed by the Tobacco Control Research Group. This model is also known as TIMRA.
