Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum 2017

The Global Tobacco and Nicotine Forum (GTNF) is an annual tobacco industry conference.
The GTNF 2017 was held in September in New York, USA.1
Speakers included:

  • Michael Arnold – Next Generation Labs (which develops synthetic nicotine)

  • Marcella Ballard – Partner at law firm Venable LLP
  • Scott Ballin – Former vice president of the American Heart Association. Adviser to the University of Virginia
  • Patrick Basham – Director The Democracy Institute
  • Clive Bates – Founder of consulting and advocacy practice Counterfactual
  • Guy Bentley – Consumer freedom research associate at American think tank Reason Foundation
  • Paul Blair – Strategic initiatives director, Americans for Tax Reform, an organisation with a history of lobbying for tobacco companies2
  • Erik Bloomquist – Senior analyst global consumer staples, Haitong Securities
  • Oscar Camacho – Scientific data and statistics manager at British American Tobacco
  • Christopher Casey – Senior Vice President and general counsel of Swisher International, a manufacturer of cigars and smokeless tobacco
  • Alex Clark – Executive director of Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association (CASAA)
  • Simon Clark – Director of the tobacco industry funded group Forest. Clark ran several pro-tobacco campaigns including Hands Off Our Packs (2012) and No Thank EU (2013), and established the tobacco industry front group Action on Consumer Choice.
