Tom Miers

Tom Miers is a writer and public policy consultant who works for the tobacco industry funded group Forest and its campaign The Free Society.[1]

Forest's Simon Clark announced Miers was joining in March 2011 as commissioning editor for The Free Society (TFS) and would "speak at various events and act as spokesman for TFS on a range of issues, including tobacco".

Miers is a former Executive Director of the Institute of Economic Affairs (2000-2003) and the Policy Institute think tank from 2003.[2][3] Before that he worked as a banker for Hambros and as a management consultant for KPMG. [4]
