Richard Ottaway was the Conservative MP for Croydon South (1992 - 2015). [1]

Pro-Smoking Activities

In September 2010, he signed an Early Day Motion calling for a review of the smoking ban.[2]

In October 2010, he voted for the smoking ban to be overturned.[3]

In December 2010, he signed a letter in demanding that the tobacco display ban be reconsidered.[4]

In June 2011, he voted against a Private Member’s Bill banning smoking in cars carrying children.[5] The bill was supported by the British Lung Foundation.[6]

Tobacco Hospitality

In May 2011, he accepted two tickets to the Chelsea Flower Show from Japan Tobacco International, worth £1,150. [7]
