Julie Soderlund
From TobaccoTactics
Julie Soderlund is the director of regulatory communications for Philip Morris International, based in Lausanne, Switzerland. She was appointed in January 2012.
She is Arnold Schwarzenegger's former press secretary. She worked for his 2006 election campaign, having worked for him as deputy press secretary for three years.
She has also been a partner at PR company Wilson-Miller Communications.[1]
Two months after her appointment, PMI also appointed Andrew Cave to a senior corporate communications role.
Public Affairs News commented:
- The two appointments come as the tobacco industry gears up for a fight over the introduction of plain packaging for cigarette packs, with a dedicated campaign group set up to oppose the measure.[2]
