André Calantzopoulos

André Calantzopoulos became Chief Operating Officer for Philip Morris International (PMI) when it spun off from Altria in 2008. Before that he was Chief Executive Officer of PMI, then still a division of Altria.[1]

Calantzopoulos serves as a Board member of SMPM International, the joint venture between PMI and Swedish Match.

He is also on the advisory board of American European Community Association (AECA).[2] The AECA has 67 company members including BAT, Imperial Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International and Philip Morris, while the advisory board includes 21 people drawn from business and politics.[3]

On 13 March 2013, PMI announced that Calantzopoulos was appointed PMI's CEO effective from 9 May 2013, taking over from Louis C. Camilleri.[4]
